Jimmer Fredette's father joined the LDS (Mormon) church at age 18. Shortly after his conversion, he got to know a young missionary named Kimball Rogers, who regularly played basketball with him. Ironically, Kimball Rogers is the father of Stephen Rogers, one of Jimmer's teammates on the BYU basketball team.
Jimmer and Stephen Rogers apparently discovered this connection when Jimmer introduced himself to Stephen's father and explained that he was from Glens Falls, New York. KSL has video of Kimball Rogers and Al Fredette together this past year.
