BYU's Jimmer Fredette has quickly become a college basketball superstar this season -- thanks in no small part to Twitter.
He is amazing at what he does, and what he does has virtually nothing to do with religion -- but the fact that he is LDS (Mormon) seems to pop up in about half of the articles written about Jimmer.
Fredette has, therefore, joined the ranks of other Mormon pop culture stars like Stephenie Meyer (author of the Twilight series) and Brandon Flowers (lead singer of the Killers). All three are amazingly talented entertainers who are frequently identified with their Mormon faith.
