#FreeJimmer

After last night's 12 points and 3 assists in 18 minutes of play, Twitter is full of #FreeJimmer Tweets. This season, Jimmer has finally shown up in the NBA, but the Kings still won't let him play long enough to win games.

So when will they let him go? #FreeJimmer

Jimmer's Rookie Season: Recap

Jimmer started his short rookie season strong but then fell prey to staff changes, coaching errors, and selfishness by teammates that deprived him of the quality playing time he deserved. For a full rundown of the problems, see yesterday's excellent Jimmer article in the Daily Herald.

Despite all that, though, Jimmer ended the season with an average of 7.6 points and 1.8 assists -- a solid performance for a rookie.

Look at Jimmer's college record: He averaged 7 points per game in his freshman season, and gradually worked his way up to college greatness (28.9 points per game). That is what he is doing in the NBA now. People who see his rookie year as a failure simply do not understand Jimmer. Keep watching. He will be an NBA star in his own time.

Jimmer Scores 7 in Sacramento Kings Loss to Denver Nuggets

The Kings lost 83-110 to the Denver Nuggets tonight. It was a disappointing night all around, with Jimmer scoring only 7 points (not bad for a rookie, but considerably less than his 17 points from a few nights ago).

Fredette and Sacramento do not have to wait long to redeem themselves, though -- they are on the floor again tomorrow night against Milwaukee. Hopefully, tomorrow night will be better!

Jimmer's NBA High Score (So Far) - 17 Points Against the Grizzlies

The Kings lost to Memphis 96-113 tonight, but the good news is that Jimmer Fredette scored 17 points, leading the Kings, and played a solid 29 minutes.

Sacramento is working on getting its game together, and the process might take a while. But it is already clear that when the dust settles Jimmer is going to be a team leader.
